Canadian Prime Minister Stands Up to U.S. Criticism



The United States seems to think it can bully its way into Canadian elections, warning politicians not to bash Washington. However, Prime Minister Paul Martin has balls. Standing up to big brother U.S., Martin refuses to stand down from his stance that the United States needs to "heed a 'global conscience' and join the efforts to combat global warming. Unfortunately Martin is receiving criticism on grounds that bashing the U.S. could hurt the binational trade relationship. Fear of big brother seems to have trumped national interest:
